CLIENT Shane Worman, Worman Commercial

The Project

From concrete counters to complex property development including custom concrete precast building entrances and personalized signage, Versatile Concrete helps Worman Commercial bring creativity to life.

The Challenge

Finding a team who can nurture creativity and work out the details to realise complex projects, while delivering precast concrete products on time.

The Outcome

An ongoing relationship in property development that combines artistry and expertise for creativity without limits.

The Projects

When Shane first started working with Richard Dueck and Versatile Concrete, concrete counters were in style and Shane needed a company to custom make them. He enlisted Richard to help create the beautiful, smooth custom countertops that property developers were looking for.

Ultimately the choice to work with Versatile was consistency and creativity. Really both are the same reasons we stick with them. They don't limit our creativity. They allow us to throw ideas out there and they do their best to make them work. Shane Worman, Worman Commercial

Through working with Richard on those smaller custom concrete projects, he began to realise that the team was capable of so much more. Shane began to ask them to take on more complex property development work. Worman Commercial incorporates a lot of brick work into their developments, so they began hiring Versatile Concrete to take on concrete sill and concrete window header details — but incorporating more creative projects as well.

Creating a striking first impression with a concrete precast building entrance, like the entryway at 575 Osprey Ave. in Kelowna, or personalized concrete signage like large, freestanding precast concrete letters, Versatile Concrete helps Worman Commercial bring creativity to life. “We just tap into their creativity,” says Shane. “They allow me to pursue my creativity and they do their best to make it work.”

The Challenge

For Shane, it’s important to find a supplier that can tackle complex projects and nurture creative visions. The right relationship between a developer and a custom concrete company means being able to pursue those visions and have a skilled team to help bring them to life.

At the same time, you need to know that your project will be of consistent quality and delivered on time. A custom concrete company that can ensure timelines are met while delivering a dependable product created with artistry is key.

The Outcome

“Ultimately the choice to work with Versatile was consistency and creativity,” says Shane. Working with Richard and Versatile Concrete, Shane knows that deadlines are met and the team will get them their cast concrete products when they need them.

The consistency in delivery also doesn’t compromise creativity and Richard is able to use his expertise to bring out-of-the-box thinking to life. “Really both are the same reasons we stick with them.” says Shane. “They don't limit our creativity, they allow us to throw ideas out there and they do their best to make them work.”
